Chris will be having his baptism soon and to prepare we took some shots of him in his casual baptism outfit and his formal one. This little guy does not stop moving and when he's going, he's always in 5th gear. I had quite a work out chasing after this one but he is worth every ounce of energy.

FreshCo Bathurst and Steels Store Opening

Wow! What a great day Friday was. I had the privilege of going to the Grand Opening of the brand new, HUGE, FreshCo store at Bathurst and Steeles. The store is amazing. It's a huge store that has everything you could possibly want and more and all at discount prices. The Kosher section of the store is like none I have ever seen before. From the bakery to the fresh butcher and fish counter to the great variety in the grocery department I was in awe of all they have to offer. Here are a few pics from the day. I'll be updating this later with some more pics that I took of the store looking all pristine before the doors opened.

Congratulations goes to Sam and his team, especially John and all the department managers. Good luck with the store!!!

December? Really?

Wow. Where does the time go? I can't believe the last post I made was in December. Well, I'm back now and I am so sorry to all those who I kept waiting. I promise you though that it was worth the wait!! I have finally sorted through everything properly and will be making many posts over the next few weeks with all the work that I've been doing these last few months.

I am so happy that summer is here! The hot weather, bbq's...I love it! Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I am covering the grand opening of a brand new Freshco grocery store at Bathurst and Steeles. Check back Saturday for the pics, and if you're in the area stop by the store all weekend for a chance to get some great samplings and check out the amazing variety and great prices the store has to offer!!!

First Blog Ever!

Hi! I'm Olivia. I've never done this blogging thing before so please be patient! At this point I have just opened my blog 'account' and I am still figuring out how to use everything properly. I haven't even tried to post any pictures so I'm going to make this first blog about me!!! I've been a photographer for about 5 years now. I am lucky enough to have had a lot of experience in music photography over that time. Everything from One Take albums to a fantastic cuban artist. I'll post some photos from those later...when I learn how to use this thing. For now though you can go to www.almarecords.com to see some of my work.

Although I love and appreciate the work that I have been blessed to receive in music I have to say that my favorite thing to photograph is kids and weddings. I just got married in August and going through an amazing day like that has fueled my passion for wedding photography. I loved it before, but now I feel like an insider! I know what it is to be that girl, feeling and looking more beautiful than I could have ever imagined feeling, and wanting every last second of the day to be immortalized by photos so that I never forget how perfect the day was. And kids, well kids are just hilarious. I love each and every one of my 6 nieces and nephews to pieces and they never stop providing me with inspiration.

As far as my style goes I'd say that I am a naturalist!!! I prefer to work with natural light, especially with kids. That being said, I don't always prefer a clear sunny sky. I love to get creative with whatever nature throws our way. There's nothing quite as dramatic as a dark gloomy cloud making it's way towards a bride and groom. It looks gorgeous. Most people don't hope for rain on their wedding day...I sure didn't...but when it happens it can be one of the most beautiful opportunity for unique pictures.

Anywho...I'm rambling and I'm pretty sure that people prefer short and quick blogs. With that I am signing off for the evening!!
